Today was our first day of class in Málaga. We all got picked up at aroung 8 o’clock and then we started school at 9 o’clock. We have three teachers, señor José, señor Álvarez and señora Beatriz. The first thing we did when we arrived at school was take a test so that the school could know where all of us are in learning Spanish. The test placed us all in advanced Spanish. After the test we got a little 10 minute break and then we went back to class with señor José and had a grammar class. Today we reviewed the different uses of the present tense and then we had homework over it. After our grammer class we had a 20 minute break sons that we could eat snacks and relax for a little while. The next class was with señor Álvarez and we mostly did speaking in that class. We were all supposed to tell a story to another person in the class and then that person would tell the story to the rest of the class. After class with señor Álvaro we had class with señora Beatriz. In that class she handed us all a worksheet for us to ask each other questions about each other and then we would share them with the class like the other class but there was more writing. Also we had a crossword puzzle with lots of vocabulary we needed to remember and had to complete that for homework. After that class was done we were finished with our first day of school and so we got on the bus to go to our houses. In Spain, lunch is the big meal of the day so when we arrived to our houses, we ate a really big meal with our families. After lunch we had some time to watch telvison with our families and rest before our cultural activity. At about 4 o’clock we all got picked up to go on a boat ride around Málaga. Carolina was the person from ISA that came with us on the boat. Before we got on the boat, Carolina showed us the lighthouse of Málaga called La Farola and it may be the only feminine lighthouse in the world. The boat ride was really cold and there were a lot of waves, but it was a beautiful view of Málaga and a very fun boat ride. When we returned to the port we saw a Haggen-Daz stand so we all went to get some ice cream before we went back to our houses. It was really good and we returned to our houses at about 6:15 p.m.
